How We Created a Multimedia Exhibition Stand for Classen at Warsaw Home & Contract 2024

Introduction: An exhibition stand — more than just a product display

Exhibition stand design is about more than just arranging products. It is a brand narrative that can determine success at key industry events, such as Warsaw Home & Contract.

How do you design a stand that doesn’t just showcase products, but creates a true brand experience? This was the challenge set for us by Classen — a manufacturer of innovative CERAMIN panels — as they prepared for the Warsaw Home & Contract trade fair.

The Classen brand participated in this year's edition of Warsaw Home & Contract—a key event for the construction and interior finishing industry in Central and Eastern Europe. Facing the challenge of creating a stand that would capture visitors' attention and effectively showcase their product portfolio, Classen turned to us for support.

Project Goal: Transforming Traditional Displays into an Interactive Brand Experience

In the world of exhibitions, it isn't just the products that matter, but how they are presented. That is why we developed a comprehensive exhibition stand concept that transforms a traditional display into an interactive brand experience.

The mission? To turn 52 m² into a space where every visitor could touch, see, and experience the quality of CERAMIN panels. The client was open to utilizing modern technology, which allowed us to merge classic displays with large-format LED screens. This created a space that didn't just show the product but allowed visitors to visualize it within real-world interior arrangements.

The 52-square-meter stand accommodated both traditional display racks for CERAMIN panels and custom arrangements where Classen products were showcased in full-scale wall and floor compositions. This allowed visitors to not only view the products but to experience their qualities firsthand

Design Challenges: Solving Unique Booth Arrangement Obstacles

Every exhibition stand presents a unique design challenge. The key lies not only in a visually striking arrangement but also in the strategic use of space and infrastructure.

One of the most significant design hurdles was the stand’s unfavorable layout. A structural pillar stood right in the center of our assigned space. Rather than attempting to hide it, we turned it into an asset: we built a multimedia "chimney" around it. This feature not only served as a magnetic focal point but also cleverly housed the technical backstage area.

Thoughtful spatial management was also critical to concealing infrastructural elements while maintaining a harmonious and cohesive design. Our task was to engineer a stand that would not only showcase Classen products effectively but also remain functional and user-friendly for both staff and guests.

The Design Process: From Initial Sketches to Final Realization

Exhibition stand design is a process that demands absolute precision—from the first sketches to the final build. Our goal was to create an exhibition space that was not only visually stunning but, above all, highly functional.

How did we turn ideas into a project? It began with a detailed analysis of the brief and the physical space. This was followed by two conceptual variants featuring animated LED visualizations—because we prefer to  show, not just tell.

One variant hit the mark immediately, requiring only minor refinements to the details. The visualization we prepared, featuring animated LED screens, played a crucial role in the presentation.   This approach allowed the client to better understand the concept and clearly visualize the final result.

From Vision to Content: Creating Engaging Animations

Designing the stand itself was only half the battle. We knew that the large-format LED screens required content that would not only grab attention but also effectively communicate the unique benefits of CERAMIN panels.

Therefore, we prepared:

  • Dynamic animations showcasing key product features—from water resistance to extreme durability.

  • High-quality renderings presenting the panels in various interior arrangements.

  • A cohesive visual framework that seamlessly bridged the digital world with the physical exhibition.

As a result, the stand operated like a well-oiled machine—while the sales team engaged with clients, the screens reinforced their message by visualizing exactly what was being discussed.

Lead: Execution and Final Result – A Stand That Captures Attention and Invites Product Discovery

A professional exhibition stand is more than just a display area. It is a powerful marketing tool that generates interest, builds brand image, and creates new business opportunities.   What did we achieve? A stand that:

  • Captured attention from afar thanks to the 4-meter-high multimedia "chimney."

  • Enabled visitors to experience products within realistic interior arrangements.

  • Provided a comfortable space for engaging with potential clients.

The next phase involved the production and on-site assembly of the stand. The primary challenge was managing the space around the previously mentioned structural pillar.

We successfully encased it within a towering multimedia chimney, which became the dominant architectural element of the entire design.   The result of our collaboration is a striking, modern 52 m² stand that stands out for its scale and innovative use of LED technology. We successfully created a harmonious space that blends Classen’s classic product displays with high-tech multimedia presentations.

Interactive elements, such as the LED screens and custom panel arrangements, allowed visitors to experience the brand's product qualities firsthand. The entire setup was rounded off with dedicated networking zones, creating a comprehensive environment for both presentation and high-level business discussions.

Collaboration and Results: Positive Reception from Visitors and the Client

The collaboration with the client was exceptional at every stage of the project. From the outset, Classen had a clear vision of their expectations, while also remaining open and flexible to our creative input. Transparent communication and a shared commitment to our goals resulted in an outstanding final outcome.

The Classen stand was met with very positive reception, not only from trade fair visitors but also from within the company itself.   We received excellent feedback from both key clients and employees across various departments.

The client was highly satisfied with the result, and we are already planning to continue our partnership extending beyond exhibition projects into broader collaborative ventures.

Summary: Multimedia Exhibition Stands – Our Expertise

Multimedia stand design is our specialty. We combine a design-driven approach with practical effectiveness, creating spaces that don't just showcase products they sell them.

Thanks to Classen’s openness to new presentation formats, we successfully created a stand that left a lasting impression on visitors and effectively boosted brand recognition.

Do you want your exhibition stand to drive your brand’s success? Let’s talk about how we can make it happen!

What multimedia solutions were used and why?

Answer: We utilized large-format LED screens, visual presentations showcasing products in situ, and interactive multimedia. The goal was to move beyond static displays, presenting the product portfolio through dynamic motion and within real-world design contexts.

How do you ensure that the multimedia will operate flawlessly?

Answer: Through meticulous pre-fair testing, maintaining redundant equipment and cables, and having a trained technician on standby. We also conduct a thorough audit of environmental factors such as lighting conditions, acoustics, and power stability.

How can you ensure that multimedia supports the message rather than overwhelming it?

Answer: Content should be clear, concise, and perfectly aligned with the brand identity. It is essential to avoid an overreliance on flashy effects and maintain total visual cohesion. Furthermore, multimedia elements must be strategically positioned so they do not obstruct the physical products or the dedicated areas for business discussions.
